Job Summary

Dynamics 365 Solutions Engineer (Contractor) to spearhead the technical implementation of cross-project dependency tracking in our Microsoft Project Operations environment. This contractor will be 100% dedicated to building new capabilities that allow us to identify and manage dependencies between projects, tasks, milestones, and resources. You will work closely with our internal Digital Enablement and AI Team to deliver a scalable, user-friendly solution that enhances visibility and coordination across our project portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of a custom solution for cross-project dependency tracking in Dynamics 365 Project Operations
  • Configure and extend Dataverse schema (custom tables, relationships, forms, views) to support dependency data
  • Develop Power Automate workflows to manage dependency logic (e.g., notifications, status updates, impact alerts)
  • Build Power BI dashboards or model-driven Power Apps to visualize dependencies across projects, workstreams, and portfolios
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, validate designs, and ensure alignment with business processes
  • Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams for long-term sustainability
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation hyper care
  • Create and maintain solution documentation (technical specs, configuration details, process flows, and user guidance), including operational runbooks and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability
  • Follow change control and solution lifecycle best practices (versioning, deployments, environment promotions), ensuring changes are tested, approved, and auditable
  • Support production operations by triaging incidents and service requests (e.g., via ServiceNow), troubleshooting integrations/workflows, and partnering with platform teams to resolve root causes
  • Ensure solutions align with governance, security, and data privacy standards, including appropriate role-based access, auditability, and handling of sensitive business data
  • Provide administrative oversight and operational support for Dynamics 365 Project Operations, including project setup, access management, data integrity, reporting support, and coordination with project managers and finance partners
  • Provide administrative support for the Power Platform, including environment coordination, user access administration, solution lifecycle support, usage monitoring, and alignment with governance standards
  • Support testing, deployment, and adoption of artificial intelligence tools and automation technologies to improve workflow and efficiency
  • Provide after-hours support for incident response, system upgrades, and scheduled maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate with teams across the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada to ensure alignment in global operations

  • Experience coordinating or managing work across a team, including employees or contractors
  • Familiarity with production support, operational workflows, and quality assurance testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to platform governance and change enablement efforts
  • Proven experience implementing and customizing Dynamics 365 Project Operations or Project Service Automation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps (model-driven), and Dataverse
  • Experience designing and building custom business logic and workflows in low-code/no-code environments
  • Familiarity with project management principles, including task dependencies, critical path, and resource planning
  • Experience with Power BI for building dashboards and reports
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Run requirements intake and enhancement triage for EPMO tool/platform requests (tickets, workshops, and stakeholder interviews) and maintain a prioritized backlog and delivery roadmap with clear acceptance criteria
  • Administer and support enterprise platforms used for project delivery and service management (Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Dataverse, Power Platform, ServiceNow/ITSM, and Microsoft 365), including user provisioning, access requests, and day-to-day operational support
  • Configure and standardize Project Operations to support consistent delivery (templates, forms/views, custom fields, security roles, and operating procedures), and provide ongoing administrative oversight for project setup and reporting support
  • Design and implement automation across Microsoft products (e.g., Power Automate) and evaluate/pilot Copilot/AI capabilities to reduce manual effort in delivery and support workflows (including coordinating AI agent testing where applicable)
  • Operate governance and change control for platform changes (intake, impact assessment, approvals, release/change control, audit-ready documentation), ensuring solutions are tested, compliant, and supportable across environments
  • Implement and enforce Power Platform/Dataverse governance controls (environment strategy, DLP policies, RBAC/access controls, auditing, and data retention) to meet security and privacy requirements
  • Handle sensitive data and elevated system access in accordance with privacy and security standards (e.g., HR, payroll, personally identifiable information), ensuring least-privilege access and appropriate controls
  • Plan and execute releases for low-code solutions (environment promotions, regression testing coordination, release notes, cutover planning, and post-release hypercare)
  • Deliver standardized EPMO/PMO portfolio reporting and executive-ready views (RAID logs, cross-project dependency dashboards, milestone/health reporting, and configurable filters/views by project, workstream, and portfolio)
  • Build and maintain governance dashboards and operational reporting (performance tracking, SLA/volume trends, and decision-support metrics) to support portfolio decision-making
  • Establish and monitor data quality and adoption metrics (data completeness, stale/last-updated signals, usage analytics), and drive remediation actions with PMs and leadership to improve reliability of portfolio reporting
  • Produce and maintain operational documentation and enablement materials (technical specifications, process flows, runbooks, user guides, and light training/office hours) to support adoption and long-term maintainability
  • Provide production support and incident response (triage, troubleshooting, root-cause coordination, and communications), including ServiceNow ticket management and end-user support; participate in urgent incident response and scheduled maintenance windows (including after-hours support when required)
  • Coordinate day-to-day digital operations across platform teams and regions, driving alignment on priorities, dependencies, timelines, and operational handoffs
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions and decision forums to resolve dependencies, drive alignment, and remove blockers impacting EPMO reporting and platform operations
  • Plan, assign, and track work for employees and contractors supporting the EPMO toolset, including clear ownership, delivery checkpoints, and follow-through on commitments
  • Develop and deliver stakeholder communications for technical and non-technical audiences (status updates, risks/issues, decisions needed, and executive summaries)
  • Provide occasional on-site support (as needed) to enable implementation, training, and alignment across Acosta Group teams and initiatives
  • Continuously improve the EPMO platform/tooling by evaluating new capabilities, incorporating feedback, and iterating standards, automation, and reporting as business needs evolve

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) – MB-920 is a plus
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200) or Developer (PL-400) is a plus
